Choices and connections… “Success is peace of mind which is a direct result of self-satisfaction in knowing you did your best to become the best you are capable of becoming.”
Wow! Coach Wooden, I have a ways to go. The good news is I am working on it. Focus is often a challenge for me. For what ever reason, I would get side tracked. I would often have 16 things on my plate. I’d start on something and remember something else would like my attention. I often would try to put 10 lbs. into a 5 lb. bag. My reading will get interrupted and time gets filled. The day is gone and I finally get back to my reading.
I am making better choices. I am choosing what to do when most of the time. I don’t feel so scattered. And I do start every day with love in my heart. This course is demanding and I am sooo grateful for it. Thank you!
Going back in time was interesting as I did it with the kale I brought in from the garden to save it from the cold. I followed back to the farmer who had picked the seeds. Wait! Where are the seeds to gather on the kale?? We need seed to manifest the kale that I am eating every day. I will have to ask Google. and I did. Only to find out that kale is biennial (lasts 2 years). It said to take one kale plant and overwinter in hoop house. Had to go to google again ’cause hoop house was not in my dictionary. In the spring let it flower and go to seed. Cut it down when leaves start getting brown, hang it upside down to dry for months. When fully dry and pods are almost bursting, stick the entire plant into a pillow case. I never knew. Always fun to learn new things.
I can relate to a lot of what you are saying. I feel the same. I can be very scattered and try to do too many things at once resulting in getting nothing done! I’m glad you are finding your rhythm. Well done. Also, thank you for sharing about your kale plant. So interesting!! I love kale and would like to grow it some day so I will refer to your week 8 blog!!
So Lee….I know you’re a “WHITE”. But it feels like you could have a significant amount of YELLOW as a secondary influence. I am YELLOW, so I can totally relate to the challenges with focus and also putting way too many things my plate. No matter how full, my old blueprint thinks there’s always room for more if something seems like a good idea, someone asks me to or most of all….if it sounds FUN! The good news is the MKE framework creates the structure for you to follow and your WHITE influence has the great ability to step in and follow the steps in a methodical way. Keep working and have faith in the Law of Practice and Wooden’s wisdom about that!
By the way….LOVED the way you “battleshipped” the kale plant. Very cool!
So love what you wrote!
I to, deal with major distraction.
