Hugs?
Have you been missing hugs? Have you been afraid to hug? I have found that now I have had to ask if a person hugs? Fortunately, I feel I can happily report that I have been able to hug a lot. I did not grow up with a lot of hugs. I knew I was loved, but it was not a daily thing. However, I married into a hugging family and hugs were plentiful. Did you know hugs are really really good for us?
Someone gave me an entire page filled with benefits of hugs and it is in a very special place right now. It was my inspiration to write this.
Did you know you could feel better about yourself, reduce your stress, improve communication, and be happier and healthier by giving and asking for more hugs? It just might be is a good place to start!
If you feel nervous about seeking out more hugs, start by asking for them from friends and family members closest to you first.
Science proves that regular hugs with those closest to you, even if brief, can have especially positive effects on your brain and body.

So true! I’ve been seeing more and more references lately to research showing the importance of touch. .. it was suggested if you can’t get as much human touch as possible to get a pet! 🙂 Great post thank you!
Thanks, Lee, for this new twist on an old saying, “A hug a day keeps the doctor away.” 🙂
I love how awesome hugs 🤗 make you feel 🥰 great share!
What a delightful and helpful topic, Lee! I read the research on hugs while I was teaching and had a lot of fun with it. I know everything on your list is TRUE!!!!
Thank you Lee for this delightful post. The world is in need of hugs, period. I network with business people, now my friends, and we share a few hugs.
Thanks for sharing this Lee. As someone who doesn’t really do hugs I think my family would be surprised if I tried this out on them. But maybe that is a reason to try it out
